Refund and Cancellation Policy

Last updated 21 August 2026

This policy explains how cancellations, refunds and interview credits work at WatchHire. It forms part of our Terms of Service. We have tried to write it plainly rather than defensively, so you can tell before you pay what you are and are not entitled to.

1. What you are buying

WatchHire is sold as a monthly subscription. Each plan includes a set number of interviews per billing month, listed on the pricing page. Additional interviews are bought separately as prepaid credits.

You can also prepay three or six months in one payment at a lower price per interview. That is a different arrangement from a monthly subscription and it is refunded differently, so it has its own section below.

2. Cancelling a monthly subscription

3. Refunds on monthly subscriptions

Subscription fees are paid in advance and are generally not refundable for a billing month that has already begun, because the service was available to you throughout it. There are two clear exceptions, and we apply them without argument:

If you paid for a month, never used the service, and tell us within 7 days of the charge, we will refund that month in full. We would rather return the money than keep a fee from someone who got nothing.

4. Prepaid terms of three or six months

A prepaid term is a single payment covering a fixed length of time. Nothing renews automatically and nothing is charged again when it ends — when the term runs out you decide whether to buy another one.

The lower price is what you receive in exchange for committing to the whole term, which matters if you stop early. Here is exactly how we work out a refund. There is no discretion in it and no negotiation needed:

A worked example, because a formula is easy to misread. Growth prepaid for six months costs ₹71,995 rather than ₹89,994. If you stop after two months, those two months are charged at the usual ₹14,999 each, which is ₹29,998, and we refund the remaining ₹41,997.

We use the monthly price rather than the discounted one for a straightforward reason: the discount was for six months. Charging the discounted rate for a term you did not complete would mean the months you actually used cost you less than someone paying month to month, which would not be fair to them.

Interviews you ran beyond your monthly allowance were paid for with credits, and those are covered separately in section 5. Reports you have already generated stay readable after a refund — we do not take away work that was done.

5. Interview credits

6. What is not refundable

Interviews that were actually monitored are not refundable, whatever the outcome of the report. You are paying for the monitoring and the report, not for a particular result. A report finding nothing is a successful use of the product, not a failed one.

An interview that is already under way is never interrupted for a billing reason. If your allowance and credits run out mid-interview, that interview continues and completes normally. We reconcile it afterwards. A candidate should never be affected by a payment question between us and their employer.

7. Upgrades and downgrades

You can change plan at any time and it takes effect immediately. Interviews already used in the current month count against the new plan's allowance. Changing plan does not move your billing date, and does not reset or remove your credits.

8. How to request a refund or cancel

Email karthi@watchhire.in from the address on your account, telling us what you would like to cancel or have refunded. We reply within 2 working days.

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Once we submit a refund it usually reaches your account within 5 to 7 working days, depending on your bank or card issuer. That part is outside our control, but we will confirm to you the moment it is sent.

9. Questions

If anything here is unclear, or you think you have been charged unfairly, email karthi@watchhire.in. A person reads it.
